The Division 2 Gamescom Trailer Has a Strange Spelling Mistake

The Division 2 arrived at Gamescom in suitably dramatic fashion, with a brand new trailer amping up the tension ahead of the title's release. However, eagle-eyed gamers were quick to notice that there was something of an unfortunate spelling error in the trailer, which can be seen above.

So far, The Division 2 is aiming to improve upon the first game, a title which was successful yet felt like something of a let-down after such an impressive build-up to release. Part of the change being rolled in is a move away from New York, with instead The Division 2 taking place in Washington D.C. as shown by the title's debut gameplay trailer.

Through Gamescom, fans of the first game were able to get another look at The Division 2, with a new trailer that shows off the ruins of the US capital. However, something of a distraction from the cinematic was a spelling mistake on one of the police cars in the trailer. At around the 18 second mark, one of the cars is marked 'polce' rather than 'police' - clearly, whoever was painting that particular car was distracted by the impending doom of the Green Poison.

All in all, the trailer once again paints a picture of how Washington D.C. will look in The Division 2. Although cinematic in nature, it still shows some major capital city landmarks looking a little for the worse, before moving on to show a team of Division agents engaging in a firefight with unseen enemies. So, not much by way of new information regarding those 8 player raids but still something for the fans to keep an eye on ahead of the game's release on March 15, 2019.

However, the trailer did confirm that The Division 2 is now available for pre-order. Pre-orders will give gamers access to the title's private beta, and players will also get the Capitol Defender pack, which includes a SPAS-12 shotgun called The Lullaby and the Hazmat 2.0 outfit. As some may expect, the pre-order options also include a number of different special editions, with full details available at Ubisoft's store.

That said, potential agents might want to leave something in the coffers, as it's been suspected that The Division 2 might include loot boxes. Associate Creative Director Chadi El-Zibaoui confirmed that the game will have cosmetic microtransactions and did not deny that loot boxes would be a part of the game - a bit of an alarm bell given how quickly other title's have confirmed a lack of loot boxes. Maybe there will be some loot box content to improve the spelling in the game.
